High Velocity Systems

High velocity air conditioning systems are different from a typical system because they use small ducts (about 70-85% smaller than standard systems) and high air pressures to distribute air more evenly. This helps to prevent hot or cold spots from forming in a conditioned space. Additionally, most high velocity systems reduce humidity more effectively than traditional systems. A lower humidity contributes to a higher level of comfort. High velocity systems are great for historical buildings because the smaller duct is less obtrusive to install.
